Designed in 2000 by Dr Joachim Happrecht, The Musto Skiff is an award-winning, single handed trapeze dinghy. It features wide racks which offer a wide competitive sailor weight range, from 70-95kg, whilst providing ample leverage.
The Musto Skiff is easy to drive due to the lightweight (55kg) hull and because it is powered by a laminate mainsail and asymmetric spinnaker.
Ovington Boats is the sole builder of the Musto Skiff and we offer two packages featuring a race-ready Musto Skiff as well as spare parts.
We sponsor the World Sailing Class Association which hosts an annual Worlds event for the Musto Skiff featuring a turn out of over 100 boats. The World Championship event changes location each year.
Unfortunately, the 2021 event planned for this autumn at Lake Garda in Italy has been cancelled due to COVID-19 uncertainty. The 2022 Musto Skiff 12th World Championships are planned to be held in Germany next year.
We were grateful that this year’s UK Musto Skiff Nationals were able to be held in Sunderland, and we’d like to say a huge congratulations to Ovington’s Sam Pascoe for winning 1st place!
