To fit Aluminium foils.
The 29er Daggerboard Gasket pre 2012, the daggerboard casing was originally a little wider and as a result the grey fluffy material is better for packing the casing. The grey tape is pre glued and easy to fix. For best results and a lasting gasket we would recommend adding some contact adhesive to help with the bonding.
