The VX One is a high performance sportsboat that can be sailed by either two or three people at a wide variety of weights. Designed in 2011 by Brian Bennett with ordinary racing sailors in mind, this double handed keelboat is light, easy to handle and a very enjoyable class to sail.
The VX One has a shallow, wide, open cockpit complete with toestraps and a lightweight hull set on a full carbon rig. The self-tacking jib furls for easy launching and recovery and makes gybes simple when sailing two up.

A large spinnaker chute makes for easy hoists and drops and the spinnaker features a single line hoist/retrieval line on a two patch arrangement on the kite, making the process easy for any sailor. The drop line and halyard also deploy and retrieve the carbon bowsprit with ease.
The accepted weight class for the VX One is between 180-230kg. The boat can be easily launched off a dinghy style trolley or craned in using a single point lifting strop.
Ovington Boats supplies a fully comprehensive VX One package as well as spare parts for the sportsboat.
